A festive and delicious cookie cake perfect for celebrating the 4th of July.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup red and blue M&M’s
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 12-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the M&M’s and white chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared cake pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let the cookie cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Decorate with additional M&M’s and frosting if desired before serving.

  • For a festive touch, use red, white, and blue sprinkles on top.
