A healthier version of the classic Chicken Parmesan, made in an air fryer for a crispy texture with fewer calories.

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the chicken breasts inside.
- Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Top each chicken breast with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Cook for another 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- For extra crunch, consider double coating the chicken with breadcrumbs.
- Serve with a side salad or whole grain pasta for a complete meal.
- Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the chicken breasts.
