Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Using a small cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.
  6. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon for coating.
  8. Once the donut holes are cooked, immediately toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking.
  • These donut holes are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a day.
  • Feel free to experiment with different spices or add chocolate chips to the batter.
