Description
Air Fryer Kung Pao Chicken is a simplified version of the classic Asian dish, featuring tender chicken, crunchy vegetables, and a spicy sauce, all cooked to perfection in an air fryer.

- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup peanuts
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the diced chicken with soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Add the marinated chicken to the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, add the bell pepper and broccoli to the basket and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the peanuts and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional peanuts if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the level of spiciness by varying the amount of red pepper flakes.
- For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with tofu.
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
