Description
Deliciously soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls infused with apple cider and topped with a rich brown butter icing.

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup brown butter
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat apple cider until warm, then stir in yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Add the melted butter and the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- For the icing, mix powdered sugar with brown butter until smooth and drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- For a stronger apple flavor, reduce the apple cider to 3/4 cup.
- These rolls are best served warm.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
