Description

A warm and cozy dessert made with bread, apples, and cinnamon, perfect for chilly evenings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups of cubed bread
  • 2 cups of diced apples
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup of raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread and diced apples.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Pour the milk mixture over the bread and apples, and stir to combine.
  5. If using, fold in the raisins.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving warm.
