- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions
- Pop the popcorn kernels using an air popper or on the stovetop and place them in a large bowl.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt over medium heat. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Allow the mixture to boil without stirring for 4-5 minutes until it turns a golden color.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in baking soda and vanilla extract.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the popped popcorn and stir to coat evenly.
- Spread the coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 250°F (120°C) for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before breaking into pieces.
