Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn kernels using an air popper or on the stovetop and place them in a large bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt over medium heat. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Allow the mixture to boil without stirring for 4-5 minutes until it turns a golden color.
  4. Remove from heat and quickly stir in baking soda and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the popped popcorn and stir to coat evenly.
  6. Spread the coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 250°F (120°C) for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
