Description

A hearty and flavorful soup that captures the essence of a classic bacon cheeseburger without the bun.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and add the diced potatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with crispy bacon.

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños.
  • Can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
