Description

Baileys Irish Cream Chocolate Mousse is a rich and creamy dessert that combines the flavors of chocolate and Baileys Irish Cream for a decadent treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add Baileys Irish Cream and vanilla extract, and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with sugar until pale and creamy. Stir in the melted chocolate.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture, then fold in the beaten egg whites until no streaks remain.
  6. Divide the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute Baileys with chocolate syrup or coffee.
  • Garnish with chocolate shavings or whipped cream before serving.
