Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fill the donut pan with the batter, about 2/3 full for each donut.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with maple syrup until smooth and drizzle over the cooled donuts.
