- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water

- 8 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- Fresh dill for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix matzo meal, eggs, vegetable oil, water, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes to firm up.
- In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil and add grated ginger, carrots, and celery.
- Form the matzo mixture into balls and drop them into the boiling broth.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes until matzo balls are cooked through.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh dill.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
