  • 2 cups fresh black raspberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the black raspberries and 1/2 cup of sugar. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Evenly distribute the black raspberry mixture over the batter.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
