Description

A quick and delicious recipe for Bourbon BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Meatball Subs that can be prepared in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, chopped
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine BBQ sauce and bourbon, then heat over medium heat until warm.
  5. Pour the BBQ bourbon sauce over the meatballs and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sub rolls by toasting them lightly.
  7. Once the meatballs are done, place them in the toasted sub rolls.
  8. Top with chopped bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
