Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in the cherries.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a sweeter muffin, add more sugar to taste.
- These muffins can be made with other fruits like blueberries or peaches.
