Description

A deliciously moist and fluffy cake that combines the flavors of cinnamon rolls with the ease of a cake, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before drizzling with icing made from powdered sugar and milk.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add cream cheese to the icing.
  • This cake can be served warm or at room temperature.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
