- 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
- Add the blanched green beans to the soup mixture and stir until well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and stir in 2/3 cup of crispy fried onions.
- Top with the remaining fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
Notes
- For a healthier version, you can use low-fat cream of mushroom soup.
- Feel free to add cooked bacon or cheese for extra flavor.
