Description
Coquito is a traditional Puerto Rican holiday drink that is a creamy, coconut-based eggnog, perfect for festive celebrations.
Ingredients

- 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup white rum
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine coconut milk, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, white rum, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
- Blend until smooth and well combined.
- If desired, add shredded coconut and pulse a few times to incorporate.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or spice as needed.
- Pour the mixture into a bottle or jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Serve chilled, garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg if desired.
Notes
- Coquito can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the rum.
