Ingredients

- 2 slices of rye bread
- 4 oz corned beef
- 1/2 cup sauerkraut
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Butter one side of each slice of rye bread.
- Layer corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese between the unbuttered sides of the bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet, buttered side down.
- Cook until the bread is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Flip the sandwich and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted, about another 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a dollop of mustard inside the sandwich.
- Serve with a side of pickles for a classic pairing.
