A warm and hearty chili made with sweet potatoes and turkey, perfect for chilly nights.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add ground turkey to the pot, cooking until browned.
- Stir in diced sweet potatoes, black beans, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until sweet potatoes are tender.
- Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier chili, add diced jalapeños or cayenne pepper.
- This chili can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Top with avocado, cheese, or sour cream if desired.
