Description

Cranberry Crumble Bars are a delightful dessert featuring a sweet and tangy cranberry filling topped with a buttery crumble. Perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, oats, and brown sugar.
  4. Add melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
  5. Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of a greased baking pan.
  6. Spread the cranberry mixture over the crust.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture on top of the cranberries.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

  • For a sweeter filling, adjust the sugar according to taste.
  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
