Description

Crispy Cabbage and Shrimp Potstickers are a delicious and healthier alternative to takeout, featuring a savory filling wrapped in a crispy shell.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 package potsticker wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chopped cabbage, shrimp, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the filling onto the center of each potsticker wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it over to create a half-moon shape, sealing the edges tightly.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the potstickers, cooking until the bottoms are golden brown.
  5. Add a splash of water to the skillet and cover to steam the potstickers for about 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the lid and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the water evaporates and the potstickers are crispy.
  7. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute shrimp with mushrooms or tofu.
  • Make sure to seal the potstickers well to prevent the filling from leaking.
  • These potstickers can be frozen before cooking for later use.
