- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Place the chicken thighs in the Crock Pot.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken in the Crock Pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
- Serve over rice or noodles, and enjoy!
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, you can remove the chicken once cooked and thicken the sauce on the stove.
- This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
