A simple and delicious recipe for Italian herb and cheese bread that you can easily make at home.

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water and add yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Incorporate the Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Italian herbs into the dough.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a more intense flavor, add more herbs or cheese.
- This bread can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Serve warm with olive oil or butter for dipping.
