Description

A quick and delicious beef stir-fry recipe that can be made in just 20 minutes, offering a taste better than takeout.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining oil, garlic, and ginger, and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  5. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet, add oyster sauce, and stir everything together for another 2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Feel free to use any vegetables you have on hand.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sriracha.
  • This dish can be made ahead and reheated for quick meals.
