Ingredients

- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Melt the dark chocolate chips and butter together in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Stir the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until fully incorporated.
- Sift in the cocoa powder and salt, and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cake has set and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

- This cake can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
