A delicious recipe for French Onion Meatballs served with a savory onion sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup caramelized onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, chopped onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. Mix until well combined and form into meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
  5. In a saucepan, heat beef broth and add caramelized onions, stirring to combine.
  6. Once meatballs are cooked, add them to the onion sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
