Funeral Potatoes are a comforting and creamy potato casserole dish, often served at gatherings and potlucks.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs frozen hash browns
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup corn flakes (crushed)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the frozen hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and melted butter. Mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the crushed corn flakes evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
- Feel free to add cooked bacon or ham for extra flavor.
- For a vegetarian version, use a vegetable-based cream soup.
