- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup peanuts (optional)
Instructions
- Pop the popcorn kernels using an air popper or stovetop method and place in a large bowl.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
- Once boiling, let it cook for 4-5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla extract.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and mix well to coat evenly.
- If using, add peanuts and mix again.
- Spread the popcorn mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces and serving.

- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
- Feel free to add other mix-ins like pretzels or chocolate for extra flavor.
