Instructions

- Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir well to combine.
- Gradually add the broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
- Add sugar, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve hot over biscuits, rice, or your favorite dish.
