Description

A delicious and traditional stuffing recipe that will be the highlight of your Thanksgiving dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of bread, cubed
  • 1 cup of celery, chopped
  • 1 cup of onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of sage
  • 1 tablespoon of thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of dried cranberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and celery, and sauté until softened.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the chicken broth over the bread mixture and stir until well combined.
  6. If using, fold in the dried cranberries.
  7. Transfer the stuffing to a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
  • Feel free to add nuts or other dried fruits for extra flavor.
  • This stuffing can be prepared a day in advance and baked just before serving.
