Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk (for icing)
  • Black food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, pumpkin puree, and salt to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour and knead until a soft dough forms.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  7. Place the slices on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Mix powdered sugar with milk to create icing and add food coloring if desired.
  10. Drizzle icing over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve.
