- 4 cups of peeled and chopped apples
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1/2 cup of water
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the chopped apples, water, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft, about 20 minutes.
- Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth.
- Continue to cook the apple mixture on low heat, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
- Remove from heat and let it cool before transferring to jars.
