- 1 lb ground turkey or lean beef
- 1 cup whole wheat pasta
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped bell peppers
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground turkey or beef over medium heat.
- Add the diced tomatoes, bell peppers, and frozen peas to the skillet.
- Stir in the beef broth, whole wheat pasta, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover. Simmer for about 10-12 minutes or until the pasta is cooked.
- Stir well and serve hot.

- For a vegetarian option, substitute ground meat with lentils or plant-based meat.
