Description

A comforting and hearty dish made with pierogi, kielbasa, and cheese, perfect for cozy nights.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package frozen pierogi (16 oz)
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a crockpot, layer half of the frozen pierogi at the bottom.
  2. Add half of the sliced kielbasa and half of the chopped onion on top.
  3. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the layers.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and chicken broth until well combined.
  5. Pour half of the soup mixture over the layered ingredients in the crockpot.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, onion, and cheese.
  7. Pour the remaining soup mixture over the top.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pierogi are tender.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
  • For a spicier version, add some red pepper flakes.
