Description

A delicious and upgraded version of the classic green bean casserole, perfect for holiday potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the blanched green beans and half of the cheddar cheese to the mixture, stirring until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese and crispy fried onions.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
