Description
A delicious and moist Tres Leches Cake made from scratch, soaked in three types of milk for a rich flavor.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, alternating with whole milk, until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Once baked, let the cake cool completely.
- In a bowl, combine evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk.
- Poke holes in the cooled cake and pour the milk mixture over it, allowing it to soak.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the soaked cake and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For best results, let the cake soak overnight.
- Top with fresh fruit or chocolate shavings for added flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
