- 2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup of diced onion
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of paprika
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, boil the sliced potatoes until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
- In a separate saucepan, melt the butter and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent.
- Add the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika to the saucepan, stirring until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Drain the potatoes and layer them in a greased baking dish.
- Pour the cheese sauce over the potatoes, ensuring they are well coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the cheese sauce.
- Feel free to substitute different types of cheese based on your preference.
