- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning to the skillet, stirring to combine. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked spaghetti with the ricotta cheese, salt, and pepper.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti mixture, followed by half of the meat sauce, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers.
- Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the meat sauce.
