Ingredients

- 4 sheets of matzo
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place a sheet of matzo over the sauce.
- Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the matzo.
- Add a layer of marinara sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of matzo, marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese on top.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

- For a vegetarian option, ensure the marinara sauce is meat-free.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
