Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase the cayenne pepper.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
