Description
Moroccan Spiced Chicken Briouats are savory pastries filled with spiced chicken, wrapped in crispy phyllo dough, and baked to perfection.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup almonds, chopped
- 8 sheets of phyllo dough
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground chicken with onions and garlic until browned.
- Add spices, salt, pepper, parsley, and almonds; mix well.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush with melted butter.
- Place another sheet on top and brush with butter again.
- Cut the phyllo into strips and place a spoonful of the chicken mixture at one end.
- Fold the phyllo over the filling to form a triangle and continue folding until the end of the strip.
- Place the briouats on a baking sheet and brush the tops with more melted butter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve with a side of yogurt or a dipping sauce.
- Can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
- Adjust spices according to your taste preference.
