Description

Delicious and juicy prime rib sandwiches served with a flavorful au jus for dipping.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds prime rib roast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rub the prime rib roast with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the roast in a roasting pan and cook for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  4. Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
  5. In a saucepan, combine beef broth, sliced onion, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Slice the hoagie rolls and layer with sliced prime rib and provolone cheese.
  7. Toast the sandwiches in the oven until the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve the sandwiches with the warm au jus for dipping.
