- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup pomegranate juice

- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
- In another bowl, mix cornstarch, lemon juice, and pomegranate juice until smooth.
- Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the boiling sugar mixture, stirring constantly.
- Add cream of tartar and continue to stir until the mixture thickens.
- Once thickened, pour the mixture into a greased pan and let it cool for several hours.
- Once set, cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar.
- Store in an airtight container.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can include rosewater or orange blossom water.
- Make sure to dust the pieces well with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
