- 1 package Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 16 oz chocolate (milk or dark, for coating)
- Optional: additional crushed Oreos for topping
Instructions
- Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese until well blended.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill the truffles in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
- Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, and place back on the parchment paper.
- If desired, sprinkle crushed Oreos on top of the chocolate before it sets.
- Refrigerate the truffles until the chocolate is firm, about 15-20 minutes.
Notes
- Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- For a fun variation, try using different flavored Oreos.
- Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
