A fun and creative recipe for making pepperoni pizza using pumpkins as the base, perfect for Halloween or a unique dinner.

- 1 medium pumpkin
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the top off the pumpkin and scoop out the seeds and pulp.
- Season the inside of the pumpkin with salt and pepper.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly inside the pumpkin.
- Layer the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
- Add the sliced pepperoni and black olives if using.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.
- Place the pumpkin on a baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the pumpkin is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Choose a pumpkin that is firm and has a smooth surface.
- Feel free to customize the toppings to your liking.
- This recipe can be made vegetarian by omitting the pepperoni.
