Description

Deliciously rich brownies swirled with creamy pumpkin cheesecake, perfect for fall.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon, mixing until well combined.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then dollop the pumpkin cheesecake mixture on top.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer and use a knife to swirl the two mixtures together.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • These brownies can be frozen for up to 3 months.
