- 2 cups of pumpkin puree
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup of chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For an extra touch, drizzle with cream cheese frosting before serving.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated.
