Description

A delicious and easy-to-make crockpot pierogi casserole featuring kielbasa, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package frozen pierogies (16 oz)
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Layer half of the frozen pierogies in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add half of the sliced kielbasa and half of the chopped onion on top.
  3. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the layers.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and chicken broth until well combined.
  5. Pour half of the soup mixture over the layers in the crockpot.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogies, kielbasa, onion, cheese, and soup mixture.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pierogies are tender.

Notes

  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra flavor.
  • For a spicier version, add some red pepper flakes.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
