Description

Delicious stuffed meatballs served in a rich Guinness gravy, perfect for a hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups Guinness beer
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well and form into meatballs, placing a small amount of mozzarella cheese in the center of each meatball.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides.
  5. Remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, sautéing until softened.
  6. Pour in Guinness beer and beef broth, adding Worcestershire sauce, and bring to a simmer.
  7. Return meatballs to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for 30 minutes.
  8. Transfer meatballs to a baking dish and pour gravy over the top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  10. Serve hot with your choice of sides.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
  • These meatballs can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or crusty bread to soak up the gravy.
