- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil.
- Add broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese until melted and combined.
- Serve hot, topped with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
